Kiel is the state capital of Schleswig-Holstein and is located 100 km north of Hamburg, directly on the Baltic Sea.
The Kieler Woche is the largest folk festival in Northern Europe. It is considered to be one of the greatest sailing sport events in the world. During the Kiel Week, over 3,500 sailors from 36 nations and around 3 million visitors will be guests in Kiel. The Kiel Week will take place from June 18 to June 29, 2022.
